◊ Voko is a Brazilian national capital company, founded in 1976, with German technology and products designed by renowned German designers Peter Raacke and Karl Dittert.
In no time Voko became reference for office furniture industry in Brazil, establishing new design standards, due to functionality, aesthetics and quality features.
The basic principle in Voko products concept is that the furniture in the office shall work as a machine in industry: must be effective, productive, and mainly, part of the working system, the company image and employees well-being.
◊ In 1976 Voko released the Expert line, the first organizational system for offices in Brazil, along with modular system of storage cabinets and Section panels.
The design shapes followed the straight line principles and added innovative color applications, while the inside of the furniture followed standards of several modular combinations, for papers and documents organization. These modular organization standards are still in force in Voko furniture up to now.
◊ In 1981 MEP Line was released, which was, again, the cutting edge in office furniture concept. Design joined technical principles of a Modular Elements Program to an awesome contemporaneous look. For the first time, wire and cable management systems were created inside the furniture. Also for the first time, computers were technically and ergometrically integrated to work posts.
◊ In 1984 the Relocatable Walls Line was released.
◊ In 1986 RMT Line was released, a system comprising freestanding desks, pedestals and panels, which was an absolute sales success for more than 15 years. RMT line was created based on high technology product engineering principles, associated to the most modern production processes, which factors made German products recognized worldwide.
The RMT system is outstanding because, unlike conventional panels systems, RMT components and panels are structurally independent, allowing working areas with or without boards, forming private and open spaces, making team work easier.
◊ In 1990 RMTX Line was released, the version that introduced the panel-coupled surfaces system, what made the already recognized RMT system even more competitive in the market.
◊ In 1996, TEC 8 Line was released, again innovating in Brazilian market, by introducing desks featuring rise-adjusting devices and tops with sliding mechanisms, making the access to the data and power management system in the desks easier. In addition to being aesthetically beautiful, this line provides the furniture with total flexibility and adaptability to projects in which it might be used.
◊ In 2001 Physio Line was released. Innovation with intelligence forms the essential components in this system. Concerned about anticipating solutions and ensuring the flexibility required to make layouts dynamic and easy to be modified, Voko introduced Physio line, a complete furniture system that meets the most varying requirements, from the top management workstation to staff stations. In this system, aluminum panel frames are a differential, which, with efficiency, safety and flexibility, provide for layout modifications without requiring complex assembling and disassembling operations for the panel frames.
◊ In 2004 a new furniture system was released: Next, comprising freestanding desks, panels, panel-coupled working surfaces and pedestals. This new system is intended to be a cost-effective furniture option, keeping traditional Voko design excellence and quality.
